Biography:

Let's learn a liitle more about the founder and his vision

Brotha Hassan is a native of South Florida with historical roots in the island of Haiti and the nation of Benin.  In 2004 after graduating with High Honors and developing a newfound love for history and psychology. He recognized the lack of emphasis placed on the Haitian Revolution and how its historical significance has been diminished in Black history & world history in general. Feeling the need to fulfill a huge gap in the history of Blacks in the western hemisphere, he set out on a mission to discover and educate people on the first free African nation to break the chains of a Slavocracy. With no formal education in Anthropology or any financial backing from a university, he was able to successfully connect the Haitiain Revolution and its impact to almost every major world event during the 1800’s. Brotha Hassan has traveled to over 32 historical sites in the United States and Haiti, collecting  artifacts and oral traditions along his journey. Since 2016  Brotha Hassan has been an expert lecturer and cultural influencer on the subject of Haitian history. Brotha Hassan is also a community activist, social strategist and philanthropist.  In 2019 he wrote his first children's book on the history of Haiti, with a specific emphasis on Haiti’s Pan-African Ethos, humanitarian values and principles. Currently Brotha Hassan is working on his memoir, a second edition of his children's book and an honorary degree in history.

Ubuntu

An Afrikan worldview : Afrikan Philosophy

Ubuntu is a Nguni Bantu term meaning "humanity." It is sometimes translated as  "I am because you are." This simple philosophy is a reminder that everything you are is due to the connection to someone else. "You can't be a Teacher without Students, you can't be a parent without children. Once we understand how we're interconnected as Afrikans globally we can create  environments and communities that serve our needs and wants. "
